Notes: The ‘Tragedya’ series was inspired by the Turkish poetry book with the same name by Edip Cansever. These poems, resembling a writing style of a Greek Tragedy, observes our society crumbling in the meaningless modern day. Complex characters unfold as alcohol and sex become ways of both coping with and betraying oneself.
Tragedya (II) focuses on the introverted world of celli. Their flautato bowings only reveal a shiluette of sound while harmonics and sharp spectral attacks break the fragile atmosphere.
